In order to provide financial help to the farmers of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started PM Kisan Yojana in the year 2018. Under this scheme, every year Rs 6,000 is deposited in the account of the registered farmers. This amount is sent to the farmers’ account in three installments of Rs 2,000 each at an interval of four months.
Till now 12 crore farmers have been linked to this scheme. Since the inception of this scheme, many changes have been made in this scheme. Let’s know what are these big changes:
Earlier, under this scheme, only those farmers were given the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, who have less than 2 hectares of cultivable land. But later the terms of this scheme were changed, after which now any farmer of the country can take advantage of this scheme.
No farmer can take advantage of PM Kisan Yojana without an Aadhar card. If you do not have an Aadhar card, then you will not be able to register under this scheme. The central government has made the Aadhaar mandatory for this scheme.
To enable more and more farmers of the country to get the benefit of this scheme, the government has removed the compulsion that the farmer does not need to visit Lekhpal, Kanungo, and Agriculture Officer to take advantage of this scheme.
Now farmers can apply for this scheme sitting at home. Farmers can apply online by visiting pmkisan.nic.in website through their cultivable land papers, Aadhar card, mobile number, and bank account number.
Now you can check the installment status of your plan sitting at home. You can check the status of installments released in your area through the online portal. Under this scheme, any registered farmer can check the status of his installment by entering his Aadhaar number, mobile, or bank account number.
A few days ago, the central government had made a big announcement for the people getting financial help under the PM Kisan Yojana. The government has decided to link the Kisan Credit Card with the PM Kisan Yojana. Now any farmer can get a loan for farming under KCC.
