XDA Developers revealed in March that Jio will soon launch a low-cost notebook called JioBook. Also, he had said that work is going on on the laptop. Now it is expected that it will be introduced soon, as it has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site yesterday i.e. on November 11. Recently, variants of JioBook with model numbers like NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW, and NB1112MM were spotted in the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) authority. The NB1112MM model has now appeared on Geekbench with some of its key specifications.
JioBook Specifications
As per the Geekbench test results, the JioBook laptop (NB1112MM) will be powered by a MediaTek MT8788 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM. Previous leaks suggest that the JioBook will run Jio’s custom JioOS based on Android. In the Geekbench listing, we can see that the laptop is running Android 11. JioBook has scored 1,178 and 4,246 in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively in Geekbench.

JioBook Features
The XDA report had revealed that the JioBook’s display will offer an HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The screen size of the device is not yet known. The report has revealed that the notebook will be powered by Snapdragon 665 chipset, which will be equipped with a Snapdragon X12 modem for 4G connectivity.

It is expected to support an HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE connectivity. JioBook should also ship with Jio apps like JioStore, JioMeet, and JioPages. The laptop is also said to include pre-installed Microsoft applications like Microsoft Teams, Edge, and Office.
Nothing is yet known about the launch date and price of the JioBook laptop. Now that the laptop has already cleared the BIS certification and has started appearing on the benchmark platform, it seems that the launch will happen very soon.
