Coronavirus New Variant Omicron is slowly wreaking havoc and 781 people across the country have been infected with the new strain. The highest number of Omicron cases have been reported in the national capital Delhi.
Coronavirus infection is increasing continuously in India and the new variant of Covid-19 Omicron (Covid-19 Omicron Variant) is fast catching people. So far 781 people have been infected with the Omicron variant across the country. At the same time, 9195 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours and active cases in the country have become 77002.
Omicron has the highest number of cases in Delhi
According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 781 cases of Omicron variant have been reported across the country. The maximum number of cases of Omicron has been registered in the national capital Delhi and the number of infected has increased to 238, out of which 57 people have been cured.
Omicron cases reached 167 in Maharashtra
Maharashtra is the most affected by Omicron after Delhi, where 167 cases have been reported so far. Although 72 people have also been cured in the state. Apart from this, 73 cases of Omicron have been registered in Gujarat, 65 in Kerala, 62 in Telangana, and 46 in Rajasthan.
Omicron cases in 21 states and UTs of the country
India has so far identified 781 cases of Omicron variant in 21 states and union territories, out of which 241 people have been cured. Apart from Delhi and Maharashtra in the country, Gujarat (73), Kerala (65), Telangana (62), Rajasthan (46), Karnataka (34), Tamil Nadu (34), Haryana (12). West Bengal (11) Madhya Pradesh (9), Odisha (8), Andhra Pradesh (6), Uttarakhand (4), Chandigarh (3), Jammu and Kashmir (3), Uttar Pradesh (2), Goa (1), Omicron cases have been reported in Himachal Pradesh (1), Ladakh (1) and Manipur (1).
9195 cases of corona came out in 24 hours
According to the data of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 9195 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, after which the active cases of Covid-19 in the country have gone up to 77002. So far 4 lakh 80 thousand 592 people have died due to coronavirus across the country, while 3 crore 42 lakh 51 thousand 292 people have been cured.
