The unveiling of the facelifted Baleno is expected to take place on February 10th, when Maruti Suzuki begins production.
The redesigned Baleno is expected to debut on the domestic market on February 10, 2022, with reservations beginning on February 1st. According to several leaked pictures, the facelifted Baleno will begin production on January 24 at the brand’s Gujarat factory.
Maruti Suzuki’s 2022 Baleno is meant to stay up with the expanding competition in the premium hatchback sector, which includes the third-generation Hyundai i20 and the Tata Altroz, which is offered in a range of variations. The forthcoming model will have numerous improvements both inside and externally, as well as a longer list of features.

This model, on the other hand, would be reasonably priced, with prices ranging from Rs 6.44 lakh to Rs 10.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The new technology will be used in conjunction with a variety of functions. Baleno was introduced to the Indian market in late 2015 and has since sold over one million units.
The facelift receives new headlamps, grille pieces, bumpers, and fog lamp housings, as well as a reworked bonnet, to capitalise on this momentum. At the back, there’s a redesigned tailgate and bumper, as well as LED tail lights.
The dashboard and center console, as well as the instrument cluster and the flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, have all been upgraded on the Baleno. There are also new surface embellishments and trimmings to give it a more expensive appearance.
Cruise control, a floating touchscreen infotainment system created in collaboration with Toyota, push-button engine start/stop, a heads-up display, wireless charging, and improved air conditioning vents are just a few of the features. For the same entertainment system, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki models would have separate interfaces.
The lightweight Heartect platform will continue to be used in Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno for 2022, although thicker steel panels and a reinforced chassis should improve quality. The vehicle’s performance will not alter.
There will still be a 1.2-liter normally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.2-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine available. Regardless, the CVT automatic transmission will be phased out in favor of a more cost-effective AMT.
