The new model of India’s cheapest electric car will hit the market as soon as it comes in the market, the range will be available up to 400 KM!

Tata Motors is preparing to launch a new model of its cheapest electric car Tigor EV very soon in India. This car is going to come with a much better range than before, apart from this, many big changes are also expected with the new car.

New Delhi: Tata Motors is going to launch a new model of India’s cheapest electric car Tigor EV very soon, which has been recently spotted during testing. This new electric sedan will be launched with a number of changes, the most important being the increased range, the company can increase the range of the new model from 306 km to 375-400 km. Apart from this, the current battery of the car can also be increased from 10 kWh to 40 kWh. Tata can also make many technical changes in the new Tigor EV, it is also being speculated that the company will make changes in the suspension in the exterior and interior of the car.

Starting price Rs 12.24 lakh
The current Tigor EV has an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 12.24 lakh which goes up to Rs 13.24 lakh for the top model. Despite the hike in prices, the Tigor EV remains the cheapest electric car in India and remains the cheapest option for customers troubled by the skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel. The Tigor eV makes seventy-three bhp and a hundred and seventy Nm of peak force and power comes from a 26-kWh liquid-cooled, high energy density battery pack. The automobile is supplied with an Associate in Nursing IP67 rated battery pack and motor to shield against weather and anxiety. The automobile is being offered with eight years and a 160,000-kilometer battery and motor warranty.

Dual-tone option also available

The company is offering the new Tigor EV in three variants XE, XM, and XZ+. Dual-tone option is also available on the XZ+. Tata says that the car comes with a balanced suspension for better driving dynamics and faster handling. Other options embrace electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs and good keys with push-button begin. Also, the car comes with 30+ connected car features including remote commands and remote diagnostics.

Fast-charge as well as slow-charge
The company says that the automotive comes with the globally recognized CCS2 charging system and might be fast-charged in addition to slow-charged from any 15A plug purpose. Global NCAP has released the crash test results of the Tigor EV, in which the car has got a 4-star safety rating. It has got four stars for the protection of each elder and kids. The crash takes a look at what was done underneath the ‘Safer Cars for India’ initiative of the organization.
