A little greed, followed by a blunder, and your bank account is depleted. It’s fairly uncommon to discover that a bank account is empty after clicking on an unfamiliar link on social media. This has been going on for years. The only difference is that hackers are adapting to new situations. A video is currently trending on various social media platforms, including WhatsApp. This video is about a movie fraud on WhatsApp.

You can see how hackers exploit your weak link and drain your money account by watching this 3 minute and 38-second movie. You can protect yourself from this form of fraud by watching this video.

This is how you become a victim of a movie scam.

–      Without hesitation, the user joins an unknown WhatsApp group.

–     Here’s a link to new movies and web series that you may download for free.

–     Hackers gain access to your phone when you click on the link.

–    Hackers can then simply gain access to your bank account.

If you get added to a WhatsApp group directly, it signifies you have left the group’s privacy exposed to everyone. In that case, you should put a stop to it right away. So that if someone adds you to the group, you will be the first to receive their invitation. You can also choose whether or not you want to be a part of that group.

Keeping auto-adding to groups to a minimum

–     Open WhatsApp and tap the three dots to get to Settings.

–    Go to Account => Privacy => Groups to find out more.

–   The default group setting is Everyone; delete it and choose Nobody.
