Free Solar Pump Scheme: Prime Minister Kusum Free Solar Pump Scheme has been started by the government to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers in the country. Under PM Kusum Free Solar Pump Scheme, about 20 lakh farmers will get the benefit of free solar pumps. Under this scheme, farmers will be given a subsidy of up to 90% for installing solar pumps. Under the scheme, any farmer in the country can get a free solar pump installed. With the help of a solar pumps, farmers will be able to irrigate their fields easily.
Any farmer citizen of the country can apply for a free solar pump under PM Free Solar Pump Scheme by filling out the online application form. The government has set a target of providing free solar pump facilities to about 3 crore farmers by the year 2022
