On becoming an adult, it is used to make documents like PAN cards, driving licenses, etc., to open bank accounts, etc. In this case, UIDAI suggests that parents also get Aadhaar cards made for their newborn children. Blue Aadhaar card is made for children

Let us inform you that Blue Aadhaar cards are designed for kids between the ages of newborn and five. You have the option of applying for this Aadhaar card offline or online. This Aadhaar card is different from the adult Aadhaar as it does not capture the biometric information of the child. In this Aadhaar card, KYC can be updated after the child completes five years of age.The child’s birth certificate is necessary to generate this Aadhaar. For offline application of this card, you have to go to your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra and submit all the required documents.

These documents will be required for the Aadhaar card of the newborn child

  • Aadhar card of parents
  • child’s birth certificate
  • In the absence of a birth certificate, the child’s hospital discharge certificate
  • parent’s mobile number

How to get aadhar card for a newborn child?

  • If you want to apply online for an Aadhaar card for a newborn baby then log on to the official website of UIDAI at uidai.gov.in
  • On the home page, you will then see a link for Aadhaar  Registration. Just click it.
  • Then, fill out all the necessary information on the paperwork, including the child’s name, parent’s name, phone number, and email address.
  • After that, enter the child’s address, district, and state.
  • After filling in all the details take an appointment at the Aadhaar Enrollment Centre.
  • After then, have everything confirmed on the appointed day.
  • After this, the child’s Aadhaar will be made. The Aadhaar of a child can be useful in making documents like passports.
