Swadhar Yojana: Many schemes are run by the central and state government to provide benefits of education. In accordance with these programs, the government offers students not only educational resources but also financial aid. One such scheme was started for the students, which bears the cost of the student’s stay and food.

Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 51 thousand is given to the students. The benefit of this scheme is given to the students of poor families. What is Swadhar Yojana? 

The Maharashtra state government launched this programme. The Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana seeks to ensure that no youngster is denied an education. However, the children of poor families studying in other cities are provided with hostel facilities by the college and university, but if the hostel facilities are not available, benefits can be taken under this scheme.

Who can take advantage of this scheme 

Students that are struggling financially benefit from this programme. Assistance will be provided through this programme to Neo-Buddhist, SC, and ST students who have completed at least class 10 of their studies. Following that, the Maharashtra government provides aid in the sum of 51,000 through the Swadhar Yojana.

This should be the income 

To avail of the benefits of the family plan, the family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh. On the other hand, if you enroll in a course after completing your 10th and 12th grades, the course’s length should not exceed two years. must have a 60% average in the prior class; for students with disabilities, the requirement is 40%. Along with these requirements, the student must also be a resident of Maharashtra and have his own bank account.

Benefits of Swadhar Yojana In 

Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana provides Rs 28,000 for accommodation, Rs 15,000 for accommodation, additional Rs 5,000 for students of medical and engineering courses, and Rs 5,000 for admission to other courses.

How to apply 

  • The applicant must first visit the official website of the Maharashtra Social Welfare Department.
  • After that, the applicant needs to download the Swadhar Yojana form from the homepage.
  • After downloading the application form, fill the form completely and attach the necessary documents with it and submit it to the concerned social welfare office.
  • Your application process will be completed.

These documents will be needed 

You must have an Aadhaar card, an identity card, a bank account, proof of income or caste, a mobile phone number, and a passport-size photo in order to apply for this program.
