Hyundai Venue With Creta Diesel Engine: South Korean carmaker Hyundai recently launched the new Grand i10 Nios and the updated Aura sedan in India. Now, the company is gearing up for its next product update. Hyundai is planning to update its Venue. However, the sub-4 meter SUV was updated last year as well, when the facelifted version was launched. Its on-line version was also brought. But, now it is going to be updated again in 2023, in this update the SUV will also get a new diesel engine. It will compete with Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza in the market.
For the new Hyundai Venue, 4 airbags will be made standard like the Grand i10 Nios, along with this, Hyundai can also offer its customers an optional upgrade to 6 airbags in any variant of the Venue. Apart from this important feature, the next big update will be in the form of engine. Hyundai will continue to offer the diesel engine in its Venue, although the new Venue will be powered by the same diesel engine that is found in the Creta. The Hyundai Creta’s engine will be updated by the company to make it compliant with the upcoming RDE norms, and the same engine will be offered at the Venue as well.
This engine will be more powerful than the current diesel engine on the Venue, which will be capable of generating 113bhp and 250Nm. However, only a manual gearbox can be given in it. The engine could also get a new start/stop function along with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) system. Apart from these two major changes, the Venue is not expected to get a design update as the facelifted version of the SUV came last year itself, which the design was updated. The Venue will also be available with a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.0-liter turbocharged diesel.
