Kia Car Sales: There has been a jump in sales from Maruti Suzuki to Mahindra in the month of January. January has brought good news for Kia India as well. Vehicle company Kia India’s domestic sales increased by 48 percent to 28,634 units last month. The company gave this information in a statement on Wednesday. In January 2021, the company sold 19,319 vehicles. Behind this success of the company is the hand of one of its SUVs.
Kia India said sales have been supported by good demand for the Seltos and Sonet models in the domestic market last month. Sales of these models stood at 10,470 and 9,261 units respectively during this period. It was followed by 7,900 units of Carens and 1,003 units of Carnival. The company said it has recorded the highest-ever monthly sales of Cairns.
Hardeep Singh Brar, vice-president and head of sales and marketing, Kia India, said in the statement, “We started the calendar year 2023 on a good note with sales of 28,634 units during January, reflecting the strong demand for our products.
Sold 6.5 lakh cars
Apart from this, Kia also made a record of selling 6.5 lakh cars in its 4-year journey in India. The company started its business in India with the Seltos SUV, which is also the company’s best-selling car in India. Kia has sold a total of 3,52,433 units of Seltos and 2,13,112 units of Sonet in India till January. After this, there is Carens at number three, which has sold a total of 70,656 units.
