The iPhone 15 series smartphones have a long way to go before they are officially launched, but leaks and rumors about the devices have already flooded the internet. In recent events, renders of the iPhone 15 Pro model have surfaced, giving us a working clue as to what the device could look like. Of course, we’ll talk more about the leaked renders later, but for those unaware, the iPhone 15 lineup will reportedly include four models – the vanilla iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. There are also rumors that Apple may launch the iPhone 15 Ultra as well. Now, coming back to the leaked renders.
iPhone 15 Pro design leaked
As seen in the leaked render images above (posted exclusively by 9to5mac), this is what the iPhone 15 Pro could look like. The CAD renders are based on information shared by Apple to factories in Asia to prepare phone cases ahead of launch, so there will be no shortage of compatible cases at launch.
The most notable change that one can see is the removal of Apple’s iconic Lightning port and the addition of a new USB-C port. Before you get your hopes up, this USB Type-C port may come with its own limitations. Moving on, the renders suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro will have much thinner bezels than its predecessor. We expect the same to happen with the rest of the devices in the iPhone 15 lineup. Also, another notable change is the curvature of the edges. The glass seems to be slightly curved around the edges, which could possibly ensure a more seamless transition to the frame. The camera bump is also slightly thicker than before, which could mean that the iPhone 15 Pro will come with an upgraded camera setup.
Another interesting things to note in the renders are the power button and volume up and down buttons, which look like capacitive buttons and not physical buttons. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, considering that similar rumors have circulated in the past as well. Lastly, the iPhone 15 Pro is said to be a few mm smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro due to the thinner bezels.
