China-headquartered electronics brand Infinix, following the launch of its premium Zero Book Ultra in India last month, on Monday, introduced a new laptop in the budget segment. The new laptop caters to the value-sensitive buyer segment in the country with a starting base pricing of Rs 27,990. The laptop is powered by the 10th-generation Intel Core i3 processor, and also features a 15.6-inch Full HD display to boot – thus offering a competitive set of specifications at a low price point. This will see the laptop go up against existing legacy laptop brands like HP, Dell, Lenovo, and others.

Infinix INBook Y1 Plus has been launched in three color variants – Blue, Gray, and Silver. The laptop has two RAM and storage combinations, both with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and the option of either 128GB or 256GB of SSD for storage. Both the variants are priced at Rs 29,990 and Rs 32,990 respectively, with an introductory bank-linked discount of Rs 2,000 on both variants. The sale of the laptop will begin on February 24 on the e-commerce platform Flipkart.

The Infinix INBook Y1 Plus, as mentioned above, is powered by the 10th-gen Intel Core i3 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Users will get up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD, and a 15.6-inch Full HD display that covers 60 percent NTSC color gamut, and offers 260 nits peak brightness. It runs on Windows 11 Home Edition preloaded and also has a 2MP webcam that can make Full HD video calls.
Other key features of the laptop include dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 support for wireless connectivity. Wired connectivity features include three USB-A ports, one of which is a USB 2.0 standard and the other two are USB 3.0. The laptop also has a USB-C port and an HDMI 1.4 port for connecting external displays. Users also get a 3.5mm wired headphone jack and stereo speakers. Interestingly, Infinix has also included a backlit keyboard in the laptop – a rare feature for laptops in the budget segment.
The Infinix INBook Y1 Plus is powered by a 50Wh battery and is paired with a 65W charger. The company claims 70 percent charging power along with 10 hours of video playback time and one hour of charging time.
