The panel comprised Electricity Regulatory Commission Chairman RP Singh and member VK Srivastava endorsed the idea. The proposal proposes an increment in the rate of electricity for domestic customers is submitted around 18-23 percent. Dues of 25133 crores
The Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Consumer Council and member of the State Advisory Committee, Awadhesh Kumar Verma has said that in any case, the plan to increase electricity prices will not be implemented. The consumers are going to win. The consumers’ council had already submitted to the commission via the petition that a total of Rs. 25,133 crores is being poured into the electricity companies that are part of the state. In this scenario discussing the rise in the cost of electricity is not fair to the customers of the state.
