Demand for large SUVs in India remains at an all-time high. However, smaller vehicles and luxury hatchbacks are popular in India. TATA Motors is understanding this. There are at minimum two smaller cars that will be released from Tata in the next few years. One of them is the top hatchback Altroz the CNG version will launch as well as Tata’s well-loved hatchback Tiago which will be updated to its generic version and is expected to be launched in the near future.
TATA ALTROZ CNG
Tata Altroz CNG Tata Altroz CNG has been displayed at the Auto Expo earlier this year. It will be available to purchase in the coming months. The hatchback will feature a 1.2L Revotron gasoline engine that will come with Dyna-Pro technology. In CNG mode, the engine will produce a maximum power of 77bhp with a maximum power of 97Nm. Its Altroz CNG will feature two CNG tanks that have a total capacity of 60 liters. The company claims it will be CNG tanks would be constructed of the most advanced materials that will stop leaks and thermal fires. They will be able to offer a fuel efficiency greater than 25 km/kg.
NEW-GEN TATA TIAGO
Tata Motors will give a generation change to the well-loved Tiago hatchback this year, either in 2024 or 2025. The major changes are planned for the platform foundations. Tiago will be upgraded to a new model. Tiago will be upgraded into the modular Alpha platform which is utilized for the Altroz hatchback and Punches Micro SUV.
