Tata & Mahindra had fun, Maruti & Hyundai shocked as market share fell!

Based on the Federation of Vehicle Dealers Associations (FADA), the markets share for Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai decreased in February 2023. However, Tata & Mahindra market share increased. Tata Motors, Mahindra, and Kia were up on a per-year basis. According to FADA Maruti’s retail sales grew by 1,18,892 units during the month and in February 2022 the retail sales were 1,09,611 units. However, the market share dropped slightly to 41.40 percent. It was 42.36 percent during the same period one year earlier.

Hyundai’s market share

fell from 14.95 percent to 13.62 percent last month. Hyundai sold 39,106 units in the month of February as of February 2022. At the same time according to the figures, the sales at retail from Tata Motors increased to 38,965 units in February. In February last year, 34,055 units were sold. The market share grew from 13.16 percent to 13.57 percent in February.

Mahindra’s market share rose to 10.22 percent annually this month. 

The market share for the month of February was 7.06 percent. The company’s sales at retail were 29,356 units in February 2023. This was 18,264 units as of February 2022.

The retail sales for Kia India have also grown.

The market share of the company has also increased from 5.27 percent to 6.81 percent. FADA is collecting registration information from 1,348 of 1 434 RTOs (Regional Transport Offices) all over the nation.
