The market for electric cars in India is dominated by Tata Motors. It continues to dominate the market for electric vehicles. Tata currently makes the least expensive electric car. The business introduced the Tiago EV last year, which is currently the least expensive electric car in the nation. Starting at Rs. 8.69 lakhs and going up to Rs. 11.99 lakhs, it costs (ex-showroom).
Motor, Battery, and Charging
There are two battery pack options for the Tata Tiago EV: 19.2kWH and 24kWH. These two battery packs have an IP67 rating. With a 19.2 kWh battery pack, the electric motor produces 61 PS/104 Nm and 75 PS/114 Nm with a 24 kWh battery pack. The little battery pack has a 250 km range. On a full charge, the 24kWh battery pack provides a range of up to 315 km. Also, the car has a sports driving mode that allows it to reach 60 kilometers per hour in just 5.7 seconds from a stop.
The Tiago Electric has four different charging options:
a 15A socket charger, 3.3KW and 7.2KW AC chargers, and support for DCT rapid chargers. It can be charged from 10% to 100% with a 7.2kW charger in 3.6 hours, and from 10% to 100% with a 15A portable charger in 8.7 hours. Similarly to that, it can be charged from 10% to 100% with a DC fast charger in just 58 minutes. The battery pack and electric motor are covered by an 8 years/1,60,000 miles warranty from the manufacturer.
