CGHS update, the central employees jumped with joy

If you work for the central government, you will be pleased to hear this news. Under “Health Security,” there have been two significant adjustments to the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS). The central personnel will benefit from both of these changes. The administration has announced new CGHS tariffs. The cost of medical care in CGHS-empanelled hospitals will increase at the government’s expense. The burden on the Central Government’s exchequer will rise from Rs 240 crore to Rs 300 crore as a result of this decision.CGHS

After 2014, rules were modified.

Changes to the CGHS rate were made after 2014. The government raised the OPD and IPD consultation charge from Rs 150 to Rs 350. In a similar vein, the ICU fee has altered and has been raised to Rs 5,400. Here, Rs. 4500 goes to the private ward, while Rs. 862 goes to NABH. Similarly to that, the room rent has gone up by 1.5 times, to Rs 1500, Rs 3000, and Rs 4500.CGHS

A semi-private room costs Rs. 3,000.

The cost of a semi-private room has gone up from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000. It has been raised from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,500 for private wards. By permitting video chats, the government has streamlined the referral procedure. Prior to now, the beneficiary had to physically go to the CGHS Wellness Center to get a hospital recommendation.CGHS

The recipient may send someone to the CGHS Wellness Centre to get

a referral if he or she is unable to get there. Before approving the referral of the beneficiary to the hospital, the medical officer will review the paperwork. In order to speed up the process, the government has also made video calls an option for referrals. Let us inform you that over 44 lakh employees and pensioners are utilizing the CGHS. Let us remind you that the new CGSH rates took effect earlier, on May 6, 2014.
