The meal delivery apps Zomato-Swiggy are available on every phone. The number of individuals using these applications to order food is growing daily. But now that ONDC, or the Open Network for Digital Commerce, is there, Zomato and Swiggy are up against stiff competition. Restaurant proprietors can sell food to customers directly via this site. There is no employment for food aggregators Zomato or Swiggy in this. Customers can purchase inexpensive cuisine here. On social media, there is a lot of debate over this platform, and many are also appreciating it.
The ONDC program began in September of last year.
However, because online food delivery is so inexpensive, it has recently gained much popularity among consumers. On social media, many individuals have even contrasted the price of food ordered from Jomato-Swiggy with the ONDC bill.
The Open Network for Digital Commerce’s (ONDC) goal is to enhance
the e-commerce business environment. April 2022 saw the beginning of it. More than 10,000 orders are now delivered through this channel each day. Over 240 cities across the nation offer ONDC service.
Comparing two bills
Currently, the meal bills from Zomato and Swiggy are being compared to those from ONDC. One customer even asserted that there was a rate variation of up to 60%. The user uploaded a screenshot of the bill after placing orders for hamburgers and soft drinks on several platforms. This means that although the same meal on ONDC cost Rs 185.57, the bill from Swiggy was Rs 337.
Use of this application
The Paytm app can be used to access ONDC services. Enter ONDC in the search after launching the app. You will then have access to alternatives for food and shopping items. You can place food orders by clicking on those.
