In India, bikes still account for the majority of two-wheelers, but scooters are also very popular. The nicest thing about scooters is that they have automatic transmissions, which eliminates the headache of changing gears. The top 10 scooters collectively sold 4,33,229 units in May, up from 3,10,686 units in May 2022. This is an increase of 39.44% on an annual basis. The Honda Activa has consistently ranked first among
the top 10 scooters sold in May 2023. 2,03,365 of them have been sold. In comparison to 1,49,407 units sold in May 2022, Activa saw an increase of 36.11 percent annually. The second-place scooter was a TVS Jupiter. Sales dropped from 57,698 units in May 2022 to 59,613 units in May 2022, a 3.21 percent reduction.
Suzuki Access, which has sold 45,945 copies,
sits in third place on the list. May 2022 saw a total of 35,709 units sold, which is a year-over-year increase of 28%. Ola Electric, on the other hand, sold 28,469 S1 and S1 Pro units in May 2023.
TVS iQube, which was ranked sixth,
experienced the most growth in the list. In May, 17,913 units were sold, representing a 579 percent increase. Suzuki Burgman comes in at number eight, followed by Hero Xoom at number seven.
