In the nation, the compact SUV market is expanding quickly. This segment features a large number of brand-new models. Both the Toyota Hyrider and the Maruti Grand Vitara, which were introduced last year, are currently enjoying positive client feedback. The facelifted Seltos model from Kia was just unveiled this year. In the upcoming months, Honda will also introduce its Elevate. The Creta is still leading the segment for the time being. The Maruti Grand Vitara, whose starting price is Rs. 10.7 lakhs, is a formidable rival, nevertheless. It overtook Creta, which has sold more than 10,000 units, to become the second car in the segment in the month of June.
Best-selling top five small SUVs (as of June 2023)
Hyundai Creta:
With 14,447 sales in June 2023, it was the best-selling SUV. In comparison to the 13,790 units it sold in June 2022, Creta has shown an annual increase of 4.76 percent.
Maruti Grand Vitara:
Only Creta sold more units (10,486) than Maruti Grand Vitara in June 2023. Since it wasn’t for sale in June of last year, there is no data on its annual sales growth. It has a return distance of about 28 KMPL.
Sales of the Kia Seltos have decreased.
Sales of 3,578 units, or 57.34 percent less, were made in June 2023. This might have been because clients would have been anticipating the revamp, for which reservations had already begun. Following this, the Toyota Hyryder (2,821 units sold) and Skoda Kushaq (2,133 units sold) are ranked fourth and fifth in the compact SUV market, respectively.
