The Indian Coast Guard will use this recruiting campaign to fill a total of 70 positions within the organization. This includes 50 posts for General Duty and 20 posts for Technical (Electrical/Electronics). To get more information related to this, visit the official website.
Vital Requirement
General Duty (GD): Requires a degree with at least 60% from an accredited university.
Technical (Mechanical): Minimum 60% grade in an engineering degree from an accredited university in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industry and Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, or Aerospace.
Technical (Electrical/Electronics): engineering degree with at least 60% from an accredited university in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Communication/Power Engineering/Power Electronics.
Age Requirement: As of July 1, 2024, applicants must be at least 21 years old to be considered for Assistant Commandant positions in the Indian Coast Guard. On the other hand, a maximum age of 25 has been established.
The selection process will work like this:
The candidates are chosen for the Assistant Commandant positions based on how well they perform at different phases. Every applicant must show up for the Computer Based Online Screening Test, or CGCAT. Test questions are of the MCQ variety, with 100 total. Each question carries four marks, and a mark is subtracted for each incorrect response. The application cost is Rs 300, which applicants must pay. However, there would be no fees for candidates in the SC and ST categories. Deposits for fees can be made online using net banking, Visa, Master, Maestro, RuPay, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
