The country’s car sales have increased dramatically with the start of the holiday season. Now is the ideal moment to purchase a new vehicle. We say this because it’s becoming a little easier to acquire a car. After all, several companies offer discounts on their cars.
The Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA)
reports that about 7 lakh autos are currently available through dealers nationwide. These automobiles are still unsold, which is concerning for the third-largest auto market in the world. Even though it’s the holiday season, fewer individuals are purchasing cars, which means that dealers’ inventory is growing and incurring losses.
These vehicles are being heavily discounted.
Dealers currently have 30,000 vehicles on hand, or 7 lakh vehicles, which is equal to two months’ worth of sales. Nonetheless, this number is estimated by the Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM) to be roughly 4 lakh units of cars. The majority of automakers have seen a drop in sales in the past few months; in July of last year, sales were 9.65% lower.
The majority of automakers
are currently offering hefty discounts on their vehicles. Tata Motors is offering discounts on its Safari, Harrier, and Nexon worth lakhs of rupees. In addition, there are significant savings available on the Hyundai Venue and Exeter models. Jeep India is also offering a discount of Rs 12 lakh on its Grand Cherokee model. The starting price of Jeep India has now become Rs 68 lakh 50 thousand. Earlier its price used to be Rs 80 lakh 50 thousand.
