The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has set September 26, 2024, as the deadline for registering for the GATE 2025 test. With no late fees, eligible candidates may apply online through the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in until today. This time, IIT Roorkee will administer the GATE exam. Applicants may also apply by following these instructions.
Application with a charge for late registration
The extended online application process will be open to candidates even after today until October 7, at which point a late fee will be assessed. A maximum of two test papers from the given set of two-paper combinations may be taken by candidates. Prospects making an appearance for the GATE exam will be issued admit cards on January 2. The exam is conducted every year by various IITs, IISERs, and IISc for admission to postgraduate programs. GATE scores are also used for recruitment by public sector units (PSUs).
You will have to pay this much application fee
For applicants who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PWD), and female categories, the application cost for the GATE exam is Rs 900. The cost is 1,800 rupees for every other candidate. It is necessary to pay the application cost online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking. Exams for GATE 2025 are scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16. There will be thirty test papers in the Computer Based Test (CBT) format. Two shifts will be held for the exam: the first from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
How to apply
Applicants must first sign up for GATE by providing their email and mobile number. After this, they have to fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and other information. Candidates must upload scanned copies of their photographs, signatures, and other relevant documents. Finally, submit the application form by paying the fee online and keep a copy safe with you.
