Following a record-breaking October, Maruti Suzuki India is looking to sustain its festive sales momentum by leveraging the “few lakh marriages” anticipated in November. According to a senior company official, Maruti Suzuki achieved retail sales of 202,402 units last month, marking its highest sales for any October and surpassing the previous record of 191,476 units set in October 2020. The company is optimistic that the upcoming wedding season will further boost sales during this crucial period.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, expressed confidence in sustaining retail sales momentum in the coming months. “We understand that some ‘few lakhs’ marriages are planned across the country in November, so we are hopeful it will provide good traction for our retail sales,” he stated in response to inquiries about maintaining the festive season’s sales momentum. This optimism follows a record sales performance in October, with the company eager to capitalize on the wedding season to bolster its results further.
