Toyota Urban Cruiser EV: At the India Mobility Global Expo, the Toyota Urban Cruiser was unveiled in its electric version. The Urban Cruiser EV is quite popular because of its strong battery pack and amazing range. The same platform used to design the Maruti E Vitara was also used to design this Toyota EV.
Only once Maruti Vitara Electric is introduced in India can Toyota introduce this model to the Indian market. There are many aspects that this SUV, which is based on the Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara, shares with the original SUV. But the car now gets alloy wheels, a new LED daytime running light, a redesigned rear profile, and a new headlamp.

In addition, the car will have a touchscreen infotainment system, electronic parking brake, sunroof, JBL sound system, and connected app. The Urban Cruiser Electric has an ADAS system and a 360-degree camera as safety measures. Lane-keep assistance, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure alert are all part of the ADAS suite.
There are two powerplant options available for the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
Similar to the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV comes with two powertrain options. Lithium-iron phosphate battery packs with capacities of 49 kWh and 61 kWh will be offered for this SUV. The smaller battery-powered electric motor positioned on the front axle can provide 144 horsepower and 189 Nm of torque, whereas the larger battery-powered motor can produce 174 horsepower and 189 Nm of torque.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV might make its debut in the Indian market by the end of this year. In the Indian market, this EV can be a serious rival to the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curve, and Mahindra BE 6. The Toyota Urban Cruiser SUV can be introduced with the 49kWh and 61kWh lithium-iron battery packs. The range of this electric SUV will be 500 kilometers.
