On February 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 19th installment of the PM-Kisan Yojana. In Bhagalpur, Bihar, a program was held to release this installment. As a result, 9.8 crore farmers’ bank accounts received a transfer of Rs 22,000 crore.
Previously, 9.6 crore farmers’ accounts received Rs 20,000 crore in the 18th installment. Under PM-Kisan, the government has so far credited farmers’ accounts with a total of Rs 3.68 lakh crore.
Three annual installments of Rs 2,000 each are deposited into the farmers’ accounts under this arrangement. April through July is when the first installment is released; August through November is when the second installment is released; and December through March is when the third installment is released.

If the installment has not yet arrived, what should I do?

The Common Service Center (CSC) is another way that eligible beneficiaries of the program can register. In addition, farmers are being registered by the State Government-designated Nodal Officer, Revenue Officer, and local Patwari.
Only small and marginal farmers used to benefit in the past.
The PM-Kisan program initially primarily benefited the families of small and marginal farmers when it was introduced in February 2019. This covered farmers with up to two hectares of combined land holdings. The plan was updated and its scope was broadened in June 2019.
Some farmers are still not included in this program, though. Institutional landowners, farmer families with constitutional positions, active or retired state or federal government personnel, and others are not included in PM Kisan. Officers and staff of government autonomous organizations and public sector initiatives are also included.

In addition, individuals who have paid income tax in the preceding assessment year, retired pensioners with monthly pensions over Rs 10,000, and professionals such as doctors, engineers, and lawyers have been excluded from this system.
