Future Honda SUVs 2025: Honda plans to introduce three new cars, including seven-seaters and hybrid and electric models, to the Indian market. Tell us about its features and launch schedule.
Honda Upcoming SUVs: Honda is well-prepared for the constantly growing demand for SUVs in the Indian auto industry. Every second vehicle sold in the nation is now an SUV, according to reports. Honda plans to introduce three new, potent SUV models in light of this.
Honda is developing an electric version of the well-liked SUV Elevate. By 2026, the Honda Elevate EV is expected to be available for purchase in India. Although it will have a different name and style, this electric SUV will be built on the current Elevate platform.

What characteristics might they have?
With its all-electric drivetrain, the Honda Elevate EV will provide a driving experience with no emissions. With fresh and contemporary design components, it will also have a fashionable appearance. The range of an electric SUV is around 400 kilometers. In addition, it can have intelligently connected capabilities like voice control, remote access, and an integrated entertainment system. This car, which belongs to the mid-size electric SUV sector, is scheduled to make its debut in the Indian market by 2026. It can immediately compete in the market with electric cars such as the Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and Tata Nexon EV.
The hybrid Honda ZR-V
The high-end SUV, the Honda ZR-V, will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) into India. Early in 2026, this SUV may be introduced to the Indian market. It was specifically created with clients who desire the greatest possible balance of power, style, and technology in mind. One of its potential powertrain options is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine coupled with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system with an automated gearbox called a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). In addition, a hybrid system that combines a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors provides an additional choice. The Honda ZR-V, which was introduced in India, may compete fiercely with hybrid cars like the Toyota Hyryder and Honda City Hybrid.

Honda SUV with seven seats
By 2027, Honda intends to introduce a new seven-seater SUV in India. Customers seeking greater space, improved performance, and a comfortable experience for a large family were given special consideration in the design of this SUV. A 1.5-liter gasoline engine with natural aspiration can be installed in this vehicle. Aside from this, the SUV’s wheelbase will be maintained at a large size to improve cabin comfort.
It has the newest safety technologies, including stability control, several airbags, and the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). For infotainment, a touchscreen display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto may also be offered. This SUV, which will be positioned between the Honda Elevate and the CR-V, will be particularly family-friendly and have third-row seats. It is thought to be scheduled for launch in 2027.
