People who go to work frequently have to take public transportation and are surrounded by a large number of coworkers. They should bear in mind a few things to safeguard themselves against COVID-19 in such a scenario (COVID-19 Prevention Tips).

How can office workers prevent COVID-19? (How to Avoid COVID-19 at Work)

Vaccine: Nearly everyone received the vaccine during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, if you haven’t received the vaccination for any reason, see a doctor and get it. A booster dose may also be recommended for high-risk individuals, such as the elderly, those with weakened immune systems, or those afflicted with any illness.

Keep your distance: Social distancing, or keeping a meter or so apart from individuals, is the best strategy to prevent COVID-19. Keep your distance from others around you, even if they are healthy. Steer clear of busy areas and make an effort to keep your distance from other people.

Put on a mask: If you must go somewhere crowded or where there is poor ventilation, you should absolutely put on a mask. Make an effort to wear an N95 mask, and make sure it fits properly to prevent air from entering from the sides. After taking off the mask, store it in a sterile plastic bag. If the mask is washable, do so every day; if it is disposable, put on a fresh one each day and dispose of the old one in the trash.

How to Avoid COVID-19 at Work

Hands should be thoroughly cleaned using soap and water. Keep an alcohol-based hand sanitizer on hand and use it to clean your hands if you are in an area where hand washing is challenging. Before touching your face or eating, wash your hands. Both when you arrive at the office and when you leave, wash your hands.

When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or a piece of tissue. Wash your hands and dispose of the used tissue in the trash right away.

Sanitize surfaces: Use disinfectant wipes to clean your computer, phone, and office desk on a regular basis.

Avoid touching your face: Avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes at all if your hands are unclean.

Boost immunity: Having a robust immune system is essential for combating COVID-19. Thus, make sure your diet is high in protein, zinc, and vitamin C. Exercise every day and drink lots of water, especially for the lungs.

Observe your symptoms: Get in touch with your doctor and isolate yourself if you experience any of the typical COVID-19 symptoms, which include fever, coughing, exhaustion, and loss of taste or smell. Continue to be isolated for three days after the symptoms go away, and for ten days after they start.
