Vaibhav Suryavanshi stuns England with debut blitz

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, is spotted taking long sixes in the NCA camp prior to the England visit. He made history in the Indian Premier League before making his debut with the Under-19 squad in international cricket.

U19 Debut for Vaibhav Suryavanshi: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, is now playing at an incredible level and is being referred to as the future of Indian cricket. Prior to the England tour, the left-handed teenage opener, who debuted for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2025 Indian Premier League, is now dominating the bowlers in the Under-19 camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Against every bowler, whether they are spinners or pacers, Vaibhav has smashed fours and sixes. He will undoubtedly put a lot of pressure on the bowlers in the forthcoming series in England as well, according to his outstanding form.

With his spectacular IPL batting, Vaibhav captured everyone’s heart, and now he is part of the Indian Under-19 squad. As part of their preparations for the forthcoming England tour, the Indian Under-19 squad is now camping at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

The India Under-19 team will travel to England to play.

By the end of this month, the Indian Under-19 team will depart for their England trip, where they will play two Test matches and five ODIs against the England Under-19 squad. The County Ground in Hove will host the opening ODI of this series on June 27. Ayush Mhatre, 17, has been selected as this team’s captain. Ayush was spotted wearing the Chennai Super Kings’ IPL 2025 jersey.

It appears that Vaibhav is taking this tour extremely seriously. In the Bengaluru camp, he is thoroughly controlling the bowlers while perspiring a lot in the nets. The team management is also quite impressed with his form, and as a result, he has been tasked with playing a significant role in the top order. Vaibhav is seen smashing massive sixes in a social media video that has gone viral, demonstrating his complete readiness for the England tour.

On April 19, 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his IPL debut against the Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur. He got off to a great start by hitting a six off the first ball. He then became the fastest Indian batsman to reach a century in T20 history on April 28 at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, where he defeated Gujarat Titans in just 35 balls. In just 15.5 overs, RR reached the target of 210 runs because to his stormy innings.

During this IPL season, Vaibhav amassed 252 runs for the Rajasthan Royals at a strike rate of 206.55 in 7 games. He also received the “Super Striker of the Season” award for his outstanding strike rate. He began getting ready for the England tour once the IPL concluded.
