Bank Holidays August 2022: Banks will be closed for 13 days in August, check the complete list here before going to the branch

Weekends off in August 2022: August is quickly approaching. You should absolutely read this news first if you plan to work on any bank-related projects in August. The list of holidays for August 2022 has been published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This list indicates that there will be a total of 13 days in August when banks are closed.

RBI divided holidays into three categories
It’s important to note that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has broken down the list of bank holidays into three groups. (Bank Holiday in August 2022) This includes the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and closure of accounts of banks. That is, in addition to the national holidays, which include every Sunday and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, there are also state-specific holidays. Please let us know which days in August the banks will be closed.

Bank holiday in august

August 1, 2022: All banks will remain closed due to the Drupaka She-Ji festival in Gangtok.

On Sunday, August 7, 2022, there will be a national bank holiday because it is a weekend day.

August 8, 2022: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Muharram (Ashura).

Aside from Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jammu, Panaji, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram, and Srinagar, banks will be closed on August 9 in observance of Muharram (Ashura).

August 11, 2022: There will be a bank holiday across the country on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Due to it being the second Saturday of the month on August 13, 2022, all banks across the nation will be closed.

Sunday, August 14, 2022, will be a bank holiday nationwide because it is a weekend day.

On August 15, 2022, all national banks will be closed in observance of Independence Day.

On August 16, 2022, in observance of the Parsi New Year, all banks in Mumbai and Nagpur will be closed.

On August 18, 2022, all banks in the nation will be closed in observance of Janmashtami.

Sunday, August 21, 2022, will be a bank holiday nationwide because it is a weekend day.

28 August 2022 – Due to the long weekend, Sunday is a national holiday.

In honor of Ganesh Chaturthi, August 31, 2022, will be a bank holiday in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
