7th Pay Commission DA Hike: Bat-bat to Government Employees! DA hiked again from 1st August; Government has announced

DA Hike: In the month of August, the government is giving big relief to the employees. After increasing the dearness allowance by the Chhattisgarh government, now the Maharashtra government has also given good news for the employees. The Maharashtra Shinde government has announced a 3 percent rise in the dearness allowance for state government employees, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.

The allowance was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The changes made in dearness allowance will come into effect from August. According to the information given by the Chief Minister’s Office, after this increase, the dearness allowance (DA hike) has now been reduced to 34 percent of the basic pay. This decision of the government will benefit 17 lakh employees.

Chhattisgarh government also gave good news
Earlier, the Chhattisgarh government also announced an increase of 6 percent in dearness allowance, giving good news to the employees of the state. Following this decision, Chhattisgarh’s government employees will receive a 28 percent dearness allowance. This will benefit 3.8 lakh employees. State government employees were taking the benefit of a 22 percent dearness allowance under the 7th Pay Commission and 174 percent under the 6th Pay Commission.

New DA came into effect on August 1, 2022
Due to the changes made in the dearness allowance by the government, the dearness allowance has been increased by 6 percent under the seventh pay commission and by 15 percent under the sixth pay commission. This hike is effective from 1 August 2022. The Gujarati government had earlier on August 15 announced an increase in the dearness allowance.

DA of central employees is going to increase soon
On the other hand, central employees are also waiting for the dearness allowance to increase. For central personnel, an increase in the dearness allowance is scheduled in July. Let us inform you that central personnel receives twice-yearly increases to their dearness allowance. The government had announced a dearness allowance for January in March. At that time dearness allowance was increased from 31 percent to 34 percent. This time the dearness allowance for July is expected to increase by 4 percent.
