World Philosophy Day 2022: World Philosophy Day is celebrated every year on the third Thursday of November. This year it will fall on 17 November. World Philosophy Day was celebrated for the first time on November 21, 2002.

The theme of 2022 World Philosophy Day is ‘The Man of the Future. UNESCO has organized a symposium and exhibition together with Le Fresnoy – National Studio of Contemporary Arts.
The event has developed around themes and disciplinary structure areas of anthropology, natural science (non-human), post-colonialism, issues of technology, gender, waste, fictional inventions, long-time perspective, and cosmology. It is scheduled to take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, Room II, from 16 to 18 November 2022.
World Philosophy Day 2022: History
The first celebration of World Philosophy Day took place in 2002. Subsequently, UNESCO in 2005 found it necessary to institutionalize the celebration of philosophical reflection around the world.
Two years later, in 2007, UNESCO published a 726-page multilingual program and meeting document on the record of the General Conference of the 33rd session, Paris, 2005. It was meant to celebrate World Philosophy Day and emphasized its importance among young people and as a discipline. The purpose of the UNESCO General Conference in 2005 was to popularize philosophy, especially in the academic world, by celebrating World Philosophy Day.
