New Delhi: IRCTC Booking Update: IRCTC may ask for your PAN, Aadhaar, or passport details the next time you book railway tickets online. In reality, the IRCTC would take these efforts to keep railway ticket brokers out of the ticketing system.

PAN and Aadhaar will be connected to railway tickets.

Arun Kumar, Director General of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), stated that the Railways are working on a scheme to integrate identity documents with IRCTC. He claimed that prior anti-fraud efforts were based on human intelligence, but that the results were insufficient. Finally, we chose to link it to a PAN, Aadhaar, or another form of identification when purchasing a ticket. We will be able to prevent ticket booking fraud as a result of this.

The system will go live shortly.’

We must first establish a network, according to Arun Kumar. Our collaboration with the Aadhar authorities is nearly complete. As soon as the entire system is operational. We’ll begin by putting it into practice. According to Arun Kumar, the action against touts began in October and November of this year, and 14,257 touts have been arrested since then. Fake tickets worth 28.34 crores have been discovered thus far.

According to Arun Kumar, the Rail Suraksha App has been designed to allow people to file complaints about these issues. He also revealed that CCTV cameras will be installed at 6049 stations and all passenger train cars.
