The 5-door off-road SUV Maruti Suzuki Jimny could debut in the first week of June 2023. It is currently available for reservation, and the booking fee is Rs 25,000. There have been almost 24,500 reservations made for the automaker’s upcoming Nexa model. According to media sources, there is a long waiting list for its automatic version, which has a high demand. In addition, its manual equivalents have a waiting period of up to 6 months. More people prefer its Kinetic Yellow, Bluish Black, and Pearl Arctic White colors.
The next Maruti Jimny will be produced at the automaker’s
factory in Gurugram. An estimated 1 lakh units would be produced annually by the Indo-Japanese automaker. For the domestic market, about 7,000 units per month will be prepared. Due to its great demand, the company will prioritize the production of its fully-loaded Alpha trim. It includes amenities such as a 9-inch touchscreen Smartplay Pro+ infotainment system, an Arkamys audio system, climate control, keyless entry, LED headlamps, fog lamps, auto headlamps, alloy wheels, and body-colored door handles. It also offers features like cruise control and climate control.
Six airbags, hill hold assistance, an electronic stability program,
a reversing camera, seatbelt pre-tensioners, Isofix child seat anchors, and brake limited slip differential are all included in the safety features of this lifestyle SUV. Steel wheels, a color MID display, power windows, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are all included as standard equipment.
The K15B 1.5L petrol engine in the Maruti Jimny uses mild hybrid technology.
This system will provide 134Nm of torque and 105bhp of power. Both a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission are available. Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system will be installed on it, enhancing its off-road capabilities. Additionally, it will have three modes with manual transfer cases and low-range gearboxes: 2H, 4H, and 4L.
