Maruti Suzuki intends to increase the scope of its green offerings. She is working on hybrid and totally electric vehicles in addition to CNG, biogas, and ethanol-gasoline mix fuel vehicles. The company announced earlier this year that it will export 6 new BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles) to India. The auto manufacturer hasn’t revealed what these 6 new BEV models will be, either. However, media reports indicate that it will most likely include the eVX, Grand Vitara EV, Jimny EV, Fronx EV, Baleno EV, and WagonR EV. The eVX was even on display by the business at the Auto Expo 2023. The Maruti EVX electric SUV is expected to debut in its full form around the third quarter of 2024, according to reports.
The Hyundai Creta EV, which is anticipated to be on sale in early 2025,
will face competition from the Maruti EVX electric SUV. The LFP Blade Cell 60kWh battery pack will power Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle. It will be built on the Born-EV platform and have a single-charge range of 550 kilometers.
The new Maruti EVX electric SUV will be produced
at the automaker’s Gujarat-based manufacturing facility. This model will be 4300mm long, 1800mm wide, and 1600mm high, if the stories are to be believed. It will be comparable in size to the Hyundai Creta EV. It is anticipated to have a 2700mm wheelbase.
With characteristics like V-shaped headlamps,
a blanked-off off-grille, a tall hood, and a flat nose at the front, the concept version of the Maruti eVX electric SUV displayed the brand’s new design language. Other notable design features included the sloped rear windscreen and tailgate, huge wheel arches, low overhangs, side cladding, high ground clearance, and sloping roofline.
