There is good news if you haven’t linked your Aadhaar card to your ration card yet. The deadline for tying the ration card to Aadhaar has been extended by the federal government once more. To 30 September 2023, the deadline for connecting them to Aadhaar has been extended. The Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution provided this information.
This deadline was previously set for June 30.
The Antodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Domestic Scheme beneficiaries must link their Aadhaar cards with it. White card holders must first digitize their ration cards before they may link them to their Aadhaar cards. The emphasis has been on connecting it with Aadhaar ever since the government implemented the “One Nation One Ration Card” concept. Its primary goal is to put an end to any disruptions. Many people abuse this card by having many ration cards printed at various locations.
2.56 crore people in Maharashtra currently have ration cards.
According to Netra Mankem, the department’s deputy secretary in charge of digitization. According to the Economic Survey of Maharashtra, the Antyodaya Anna Yojana, which gives the poorest households heavily subsidized food, benefits 24.4 lakh people. Start by visiting the Food Department website.
Select the ‘Link Aadhaar with Ration Card’ option after that.
- Enter the number on it.
- Link Aadhaar and Mobile Number should be chosen.
- Put in your Aadhaar number now.
- Enter the OTP that will appear on your phone.
- Link it with the Aadhaar card.
- After they are linked, you will receive an SMS.
