Recruitment in BSF for many vacancies including SI and Head Constable

Recruitment for BSF Water Wing for Group B and C positions has been notified by the BSF. The BSF is currently accepting online applications for the positions of Head Constable (Master, Engine Driver), Sub-Inspector (Master and Workshop), and other positions. Applicants may apply online at rectt.bsf.gov.in, the official website, for these positions. June 30, 2024 is the deadline for applications for this position.

The BSF will use this recruitment

to fill the positions of Constable Crew, Head Constable, Head Constable Workshop, SI Master, and SI Engine Driver. The force has reserved 10% of the positions for former service members. For the SI Engine Driver position, candidates must be between the ages of 22 and 28. The age restriction of 20–25 years has been set for Head Constable Master, Engine Driver, Workshop, and Crew. However, there will be a modification of the maximum age limit for candidates from reserved categories.

BSF Hiring 2024: The Selection Procedure

Candidates will be chosen for BSF Recruitment following written, physical, document verification, trade test, and medical examinations.

Pay Scale for BSF Recruitment 2024

-SI Master and SI Engine Driver: Rs. 35400-112400 (Level 6)

-Level 4: Rs. 25500-81100 (Engine Driver, Head Constable Master, Workshop).

-Level 3 Constable Crew: Rs. 21700-69100

BSF Hiring 2024: Qualification Standards

• SI Master: The Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department must have granted the Second Class Master Certificate to the 12th pass candidate.
• SI Engine Driver: 12th grader who received a First Class Master Certificate from the Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority and the Mercantile Marine Department.
• For placing tenth, the Head Constable Master – Sarang Certificate was given.
• Engine Driver Head Constable: 10th passed with a certificate for a second-class engine driver.
• Head Constable Workshop: ITI Diploma in any of the following fields: Motor Mechanics, Electronics, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrician & AC Technician, Others; and 10th class pass.
• The tenth pass with fewer than 265 horsepower goes to the Constable Crew. The applicant must also be capable of swimming alone in deep water.

BSF Hiring 2024: Physical Requirements

All ST/OBC candidates must be 160 cm tall with a chest circumference between 73 and 78 cm. To be considered for the positions in Group B (Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Leh, Ladakh, and North Eastern States) and Group C (Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and North Eastern States, Jammu and Kashmir), candidates must be 162 cm tall and have a chest measurement between 75 and 80 cm.
