2025 Launch of the Facelifted Volvo XC90 in India: Volvo is getting ready to introduce the updated XC90 in India. Its flagship SUV, which had its global debut in September 2024, will get an update on March 4, 2025. It is anticipated that the new XC90 will maintain its general design while incorporating modest and progressive changes. The most obvious modification would be a revised front grille with reshaped LED headlamps that retain Volvo’s iconic Thor’s Hammer DRLs. Additionally, the front bumper may be modified with a new air dam for a more modern appearance.

The SUV may get freshly designed alloy wheels, but the side profile is probably going to stay mostly the same. The wheels are believed to be about the same size as the existing 21-inch model. A reprofiled bumper with a horizontal chrome strip and slightly altered LED taillights are possible changes for the back end.
The XC90 is anticipated to keep its roomy seven-seater arrangement and uncluttered interior design. A three-spoke steering wheel, a two-tone interior design, and plush leatherette upholstery are possible upgrades. In the cabin, Volvo is likely to utilize more environmentally friendly materials.

Highlights of the features could include a head-up display (HUD), a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a high-end 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and four-zone climate control.
Multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill start, and descent control, an electronic parking brake, and Level 2 ADAS with functions like adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, lane keep assist, etc. are all possible inclusions in the safety package.

Two engine options are offered for the new XC90 worldwide: a 2.0L turbo-petrol with 48V mild hybrid technology and a 2.0L turbo-petrol with plug-in hybrid technology. The India-spec vehicle, however, will probably only have a 2.0-liter mild hybrid drivetrain.
