According to the source, Tesla would only introduce electric vehicles in India that cost less than $25,000.

A recent report claims that Tesla may introduce its electric vehicle in India in April 2025. However, there was a lot of hoopla about Tesla’s vehicles, indicating that they would be extremely costly. However, reports claim that Tesla can introduce its first EV in India for just Rs 21 lakh. Tesla is reportedly attempting to find capacity in its owned showrooms in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Aerocity.

The goal of Tesla’s operations is to rapidly expand in India. They have also begun posting job openings in India as a result. Jobs such as store manager, service technician, and service adviser have been posted by Tesla.

Competitors in the Market

Since Tesla arrived in India, all automakers have seen a sharp increase in business. In the EV motor market, the companies are probably going to face fierce rivalry. Cars like the Mahindra XUV400 EV, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara EV, XEV 9e, and BE 6 may face significant competition in such a scenario. All of the businesses might have to significantly alter the features and pricing of their cars in such a scenario.
