Age restriction and educational requirements
Candidates must have passed the 12th grade (10+2) or an equivalent exam from an approved board to be considered for constable positions. The minimal educational requirement for ex-servicemen is a 10th (matriculation) pass.
Regarding the age restriction, the lowest age is 18 and the highest is 28. The age will be determined as of January 1, 2025. However, by government regulations, candidates from the reserved category will be granted an exception from the age restriction.
Physical Requirements
Male candidates must be at least 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cm) tall.
Female candidates must be at least 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cm) tall.
Application cost
The application fee is Rs 1,200 for candidates in the general category, Rs 700 for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, and Rs 500 for Punjabi ex-servicemen. The application cost must be paid online.
Procedure for Selection
The following three steps will be used to choose the candidates:
Test by Computer (CBT): Paper I: 100 points
Paper II: 50 points
Test of Physical Measurement (PMT)
Test of Physical Efficiency (PST)
