India Energy Week 2025: Hybrid vehicles shine as a green energy milestone

IEW 2025: Automobiles that use two different forms of energy are known as hybrids. Their goals are to lower harmful vehicle emissions and boost energy efficiency.

People’s attention is being drawn to an exhibition of automobiles and bikes that operate on gasoline, CNG, and hydrogen as part of the ongoing India Energy Week 2025 in the capital, Delhi. Because they require two different forms of energy to operate, these cars are known as hybrid automobiles. Increasing energy economy and lowering harmful vehicle emissions are the goals of such vehicles.

MAHINDRA XUV 3XO

MAHINDRA XUV 3XO:

This Mahindra vehicle can also be powered by fuel that has been combined with 20% to 85% ethanol. This vehicle features a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine and is intended to encourage environmentally friendly transportation. In actuality, flex-fuel cars lessen reliance on gasoline. The environment benefits from this new technology.

HYUNDAI NEXO:

The Hyundai Nexo is a car with a 120 kW motor that is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and batteries. These two have a total capacity of 135 kW. This car produces 395 Nm of torque and 163 PS of power. Europe’s WLTP test indicates that it has a 600-kilometer range. It also has cutting-edge technologies including Hyundai’s Blue Link connected car technology.

HYUNDAI CRETA FLEX FUEL

HYUNDAI CRETA FLEX FUEL:

This vehicle can run entirely on ethanol and gasoline. Its 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, 12-valve, turbo GDI engine can generate up to 118 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. It can run on fuel ranging from E0 to E100 and features a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. In addition, it has disc brakes on all wheels and an anti-lock braking system with EBD.

The BAJAJ FREEDOM 125:

A Motorcycle with a 125cc engine and a CNG tank behind the seat. This bike can go around 300 kilometers on 2 kg of compressed natural gas and 2 liters of gasoline, according to the company. With its lower fuel costs and higher mileage, this bike offers a cost-effective choice. It can travel 100–110 km on gasoline and up to 200 km on compressed natural gas.

SUZUKI GIXXER SF250

SUZUKI GIXXER SF250:

This motorcycle, which costs about Rs 2.25 lakh, is made to run on fuel that has been combined with ethanol. Because it may be powered by a blend of 15% gasoline and 85% ethanol, this bike will lower CO2 emissions. It is powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine. The rider can monitor navigation, trip information, and bike status on the phone by using the Suzuki Connect app.

HERO VIDA V2 PRO:

This scooter runs on batteries and looks fantastic. This scooter can travel 165 kilometers on a single charge and reach a top speed of 90 kmph. A three-year or 30,000-kilometer guarantee is included with the battery. It includes fantastic features like a USB charging port and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition to its 7-inch TFT touch screen, this scooter features a drum and disc brakes on the back. Its top model costs one lakh twenty thousand rupees.
