Diesel automatic SUVs: A few diesel automatic SUVs under Rs 25 lakh are available today and can be a decent choice for you.
Diesel automatic SUVs: There aren’t many diesel SUV options available in the Indian auto industry. There are even fewer possibilities if you decide to move to an automatic diesel SUV. Nonetheless, there is still a strong demand for diesel SUVs among consumers in several markets because of their low operating costs. In light of this, we have selected diesel automatic SUVs under Rs 25 lakh that can be a decent choice for you today.
- The Nexon from Tata
Between Rs 11.70 and Rs 15.60 lakh.
In India right now, the Nexon is the most reasonably priced diesel-automatic SUV. Starting with the mid-spec Pure+ model, the Nexon’s 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 115 horsepower and 260 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed AMT gearbox. According to ARAI, the Nexon diesel-AMT can travel 24.08 kilometers per gallon. Features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof are standard on the top-spec Nexon diesel-AMT models.

- The Mahindra XUV 3XO
Between Rs 11.79 and Rs 14.49 lakh
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is in the first row. The 1.5-liter diesel engine of the XUV 3XO, which produces 117 horsepower and 300 Nm, is mated to a 6-speed AMT gearbox that is compatible with the mid-spec MX3 grade. The 360-degree camera and ADAS suite that come with the diesel-MT and petrol powertrains are not available with Mahindra’s diesel-AMT on the top-spec AX7L trim. Features like dual-zone air conditioning, leatherette upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof are still included. The stated mileage for the XUV 3XO diesel-AMT is 21.2 kpl.

- The Kia Sonet
Between Rs 13.39 and Rs 15.60 lakh
A 1.5-liter diesel engine with 116 horsepower and 250 Nm is coupled to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission in the Kia Sonet. Compared to its competitors with AMT gears, it provides a far more upscale experience. It is stated that the Sonet diesel-automatic SUV has an 18.6 kpl fuel efficiency. The entry price point is costly because it is only available on the highest HTX and GTX+ trims, but it has features like a motorized driver seat, ventilated front seats, dual 10.25-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen, and an ADAS suite.

- The Tata Curve
Between Rs 14.17 and Rs 19.20 lakh
The 1.5-liter diesel engine that powers the Curve is identical to that of the Nexon, except it produces 118 horsepower instead of 260 Nm. In addition, the Curve has a 7-speed DCT gearbox, which is available starting with the second base Pure+ trim and is substantially more expensive than the Nexon’s AMT. Tata Motors has not disclosed the ARAI-reported fuel economy numbers, however, our mileage test shows that the Curve diesel-DCT gets 14.19 kpl. A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a motorized tailgate, adjustable rear seats, and adaptive cruise control are some of the Curve’s greatest features.
