Vivo S30 Series Debuts with 6500mAh Battery, 50MP Selfie Cam

In China, Vivo has introduced the Vivo S30 and Vivo S30 Pro Mini. These smartphones include 90W rapid charging and a 6500mAh battery. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor powers the Vivo S30 Pro Mini, while the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip powers the Vivo S30. Both include a 50-megapixel front camera and a triple rear camera arrangement. There are four different color options for the Vivo S30 series.

On Thursday, the Vivo S30 and S30 Pro Mini were introduced in China. The new Vivo S series smartphones have a 6,500mAh battery, compatibility for 90W fast charging, and come in four different color variations. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 CPU powers the regular Vivo S30. On the other hand, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor powers the Vivo S30 Pro Mini. A 50-megapixel front camera and two 50-megapixel sensors make up the three back camera modules on both phones.

Vivo S30 and Vivo S30 Pro Mini costs and availability

The Vivo S30 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 2,699, or around Rs 32,000. Simultaneously, the 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB RAM and storage models cost CNY 2,999, or roughly Rs 25,000, and CNY 3,299, or roughly Rs 38,000, respectively. Cocoa Black, Lemon Yellow, Mint Green, and Peach Pink are the color options available at launch.

The Vivo S30 Pro Mini’s 12GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 3,499 at the same time. The price of its 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB models is CNY 3,799, or roughly Rs 45,000, and CNY 3,999, or roughly Rs 47,000, respectively. It comes in Mint Green, Lemon Yellow, Cocoa Black, and Cool Berry Powder colors.

The Vivo S30 is a dual-SIM phone with a 6.67-inch 1.5K (1,260 x 2,800 pixel) AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a maximum brightness of 5000 nits, and a screen-to-body ratio of 94.10 percent. It is powered by OriginOS 5, which is based on Android 15. A 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage power it.

For biometric authentication, the phone features a fingerprint scanner built into the screen and facial recognition software. 90W rapid charging is supported by the 6,500mAh battery that powers the Vivo S30. It weighs 192 grams and is 160.21 x 74.39 x 7.49 mm in size.

The specifications for the Vivo S30 Pro Mini’s SIM, operating system, RAM, and storage are identical to those of the Vivo S30. A 6,500mAh battery that enables 90W rapid charging is another feature of this small phone.

The smartphone has an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX921 sensor. Additionally, it features a 50-megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies.

The 6.31-inch 1.5K (1,260 x 2,800 pixel) AMOLED screen of the Vivo S30 Pro Mini has a maximum brightness of 5000 nits and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. An octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor powers it. It has an IP68+IP69 rating, making it resistant to both dust and water.

The sensors and connection features of the Vivo S30 Pro Mini are identical to those of the Vivo S30 model. It weighs 186 grams and has dimensions of 150.83 x 71.76 x 7.99 mm.
