On July 10, 2025, the automaker Renault will launch the Renault Boreal, a seven-seater SUV. It is a relaunched Dacia Bigster that might make its debut as the 7-seater Duster in India in 2026. It will have redesigned bumpers and a new grille design. A 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10-inch digital display will be included inside. There will be two engine options available for the Renault Boreal.

The company has revealed that on July 10, 2025, it would launch the Renault Boreal (7-Seater Duster), their future seven-seater SUV, worldwide. In reality, this SUV is a renamed Dacia Bigster that will be available for purchase in India in 2026 as a seven-seater Duster. Both 6-seater and 7-seater models are available. What characteristics will Renault Boreal introduce to the world market?

Renault Boreal’s external design
Its exterior can resemble the Dacia Bigster quite a bit. It will include a redesigned grille design that resembles Duster’s pattern. Wider air dams are another change made to the bumpers. Renault’s identification will be strengthened by the size of its logo. In terms of the side aspect, it resembles the Dacia Duster as well. The production version might feature rear door handles situated on the C-pillar, although the test car had conventional door handles.
Renault Boreal’s interior
Its interior may also resemble that of the new Duster and Dacia Bigster. It has amenities including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital driver display, heated front seats, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, an automatic parking brake, ADAS features, and an enhanced safety suite with several airbags.

Both a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.6-liter petrol hybrid engine are possible. It also has a powerful hybrid configuration.

The cost of Renault Boreal
Renault Boreal is anticipated to launch in India by the end of 2026, while the exact date has not yet been disclosed. In the Indian market, its ex-showroom pricing may range from Rs 17 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. It will face competition from the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus in the Indian market.
