The Kinetic Honda DX was the revolutionary scooter.
When the Kinetic Honda DX was introduced to the market, the two-wheeler market in India was undergoing a period of significant transformation. With a completely automatic transmission, Kinetic DX demonstrated a new trend at a time when scooters like Vespa and Bajaj employed manual gear chambers.
This scooter provided an excellent driving experience thanks to its 98cc engine, which produced 7.7 HP and 9.8 Nm of torque. The scooter was incredibly easy to drive thanks to its CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) technology. In addition, this scooter had kick start and self start features, which were not found in other scooters of the era. Its maintenance cost, which was reported to be under ₹21 per month, was another unique feature. This included both spare parts and labor charges.

Kinetic DX will return.
The Kinetic Green brand is set to reintroduce this iconic scooter as the electric two-wheeler market continues to grow in the nation. The new scooter design has been patented by the corporation and was recently observed during testing.
Much of the classic retro style is still there in the new Kinetic DX EV scooter. Its broad seat, large headlamp, and fashionable front apron will make the old Kinetic fans feel nostalgic.
With whom will he compete?
The Kinetic DX Electric Scooter’s launch date has been set. Presented by Kinetic Green, a Firodia Group firm, this scooter will be introduced on July 28, 2025. Although official details on its powertrain, battery characteristics, and range have not yet been made public, auto experts predict that this scooter will pose a serious threat to the electric scooters already available in the Indian market.
It will directly compete with well-known electric scooters in the Indian market, including the Bajaj Chetak EV, TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1, and Ola S1 X+ and Pro models.
