The tech sector was taken aback by a recent teaser provided by smartphone company Realme. At its upcoming event, the business will present a phone with a 15,000mAh battery.
Smartphone with 15000mAh Battery: Realme, a smartphone maker, surprised the tech sector with a recent teaser. At its upcoming event, the business will showcase a phone with a 15,000mAh battery. On August 27, this rollout will take place worldwide. There are rumors that this phone might be a concept device that won’t be sold to consumers just yet.
A 15,000mAh battery and a small form factor
Typically, phones with this kind of battery are bulky and hefty, but the teaser for Realme shows otherwise. The phone seems as thin as a typical smartphone, with the words “15000mAh” printed on the back panel. The company’s silicon-anode technology, which was unveiled earlier this year, has made this possible.
50 hours of movie playback and a 5-day battery life
According to Realme, this new battery can play videos for 50 hours on a single charge. In addition, the phone can be used constantly for five days on this battery. This smartphone may represent the most significant advancement in battery backup to date in such a scenario.
There is already a 10,000mAh concept phone on display.
Realme had already displayed a phone with a large battery. The business unveiled a concept phone with a 10,000mAh battery in May 2025. An ‘ultra-high silicon content anode battery’ with a 10% silicon content was used in that device. According to reports, the battery’s energy density was 887Wh/L, which is significantly more than that of smartphones today.
That idea phone’s design was unique as well; it weighed about 200 grams, had a semi-transparent back, and was 8.5 mm thick. It also supported 320W rapid charging. According to the business, the phone can be fully charged in 4 minutes and 30 seconds using this technique.
It takes just one minute to charge the battery up to 26%, and two minutes to charge it to 50%.

Will there be a market for this phone?
Realme has not yet stated, though, if this phone with a 15,000mAh battery would be released as a product or merely shown as a concept. However, this smartphone has the potential to set a new industry record for battery performance provided the firm delivers it to the users.
There will be competition for the Vivo V60 5G.
The newly released V60 5G from Vivo will face fierce competition from this new Realme phone. The Vivo V60 has a 6500mAh battery that can be charged with 90 watts of flash power. The phone also features a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The phone’s 50-megapixel front camera may be used for films and selfies. Flipkart, an online retailer, is listing this phone for Rs 38,999.
