Banks will be closed in this state for Navratra Sthapna.

The Rajasthan government declared a holiday and said all banks, government offices, schools, colleges, and government institutions in the state will be closed on Monday, the first day of Navratri celebrations. Since Jaipur will celebrate Navratra Sthapna, which signifies the start of Hindus’ Navratri celebrations, the holiday has been announced.

Many people have inquired as to whether banks in Delhi and other states or union territories will also stay closed following the declaration of a bank holiday by the government of Rajasthan. It is made clear, nevertheless, that only Rajasthani banks would be closed on Monday. Additionally, banks will continue to operate as usual in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.

Customers of banks should be aware that all banks in the nation, including State Bank of India (SBI), are closed on holidays as required by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). All Sundays in the month as well as the second and fourth Saturdays are included in these bank holidays.

The banks will also be closed on September 23 in Jammu and Srinagar, as well as on September 27 and 28 (the fourth Saturday and Sunday), in accordance with the RBI vacation calendar. View the complete list here.

• September 22: In Jaipur, all banks will be closed in observance of Navratra Sthapna, which marks the start of Hindus’ Navratri festivities.

• September 23: In honor of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s birthday, all public and private banks in Jammu and Srinagar will be closed.

• September 29: In honor of Maha Saptami, the seventh day of the Durga Puja holiday, which is observed during the Hindu month of Ashwin, banks in Agartala, Kolkata, and Guwahati will be closed on this day.

• September 30: Due to Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami, banks will be closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna, and Ranchi.

• Sunday holidays: September 7, 14, 21, and 28 are observed throughout India.

• September 13 and 27 are Saturday holidays in India.
