In India, Aprilia has introduced the new SR-GP Replica 175 scooter. It costs more than ₹1 lakh and has a 174.7cc engine, ABS, and a design influenced by MotoGP. Let’s investigate.

The SR-GP Replica 175, a new and potent scooter from renowned Italian two-wheeler maker Aprilia, has been introduced in India. In essence, it is a special version of the SR 175, but it has a totally different MotoGP look and feel. At ₹1.22 lakh, the company’s ex-showroom price is almost ₹3,000 higher than the typical model. Its MotoGP-inspired design, which gives it a racing vibe, is its main selling point.

How does the design look?

The look of the SR-GP Replica distinguishes it from other scooters. It has red and purple designs on a matte black body. It appears to be a real racing machine thanks to Aprilia branding and sponsor logos on the front apron and under-seat panel. Additionally, the sporty touch is enhanced with a red stripe on the front wheel. This scooter feels like a sports bike at first glance.

A number of new features are included in the Aprilia SR-GP Replica. It has a color TFT screen that is 5.5 inches and has Bluetooth. The scooter is a high-end, networked scooter with all-LED lighting and a USB charging connector.

The powertrain

The Aprilia SR-GP Replica 175’s engine is identical to that of the regular model. A 174.7cc single-cylinder engine that generates 13.08 horsepower and 14.14 Nm of torque powers it. The scooter is smooth and comfortable to ride because to its CVT automatic transmission and engine.

Who is vying for market share?

The Hero Zoom 160 and Suzuki Burgman are two scooters that the SR-GP Replica 175 will directly compete with. With a look influenced by the MotoGP racing bike, this scooter is basically a limited edition of the Aprilia SR 175. The Hero Zoom 160 cost ₹148,500 ex-showroom when it was first released in January of this year. The Hero Xoom 160 scooter is now ₹11,602 less expensive after the GST decrease.
