Samsung Galaxy S25 FE vs. iPhone Air: In 2025, both Samsung and Apple released new smartphones with the goal of providing flagship-level functionality at a more affordable price. With the powerful bundle of Android on the one hand and the slick iOS experience on the other, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and iPhone Air provide distinct styles to the mid-premium market. Although both devices have cutting-edge processors, contemporary designs, and long-term software support, their features, builds, and prices range greatly.

iPhone Air vs. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Design

Samsung’s Fan Edition tradition is carried on by the Galaxy S25 FE. It has an Armor Aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides. The phone is 7.4 mm thick and weighs 190 grams. With an IP68 rating, it is also resistant to dust and water.

As a member of the iPhone 17 series, the iPhone Air has a slimmer and lighter design. It is only 165 grams in weight and 5.6 mm thick. In contrast to the Pro models’ rectangular camera arrangement, it has a novel single camera bar design.

iPhone Air vs. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Display

The 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display on the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, support for HDR10+, and a brightness of up to 1900 nits. Gorilla Glass Victus+ protects the screen.

The iPhone Air, in contrast, has a 6.5-inch OLED screen with a pixel density of 458 PPI and a resolution of 1320 × 2868 pixels. It now has ProMotion and an adjustable refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also has Ceramic Shield 2 protection and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits.

Software and performance

Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset powers the Galaxy S25 FE. One UI 8 and Android 16 are its operating systems. It is one of the phones with long-term support, as the firm promises seven major Android updates.

In contrast, Apple’s latest A19 Pro chip, which has a 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU, and neural accelerators, is found in the iPhone Air. It is powered by iOS 26, which has AI and machine learning capabilities known as Apple Intelligence that improve productivity, personalization, and communications.

Configuration of the Camera

A 50MP wide sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with three optical zooms, and a 12MP ultrawide camera make up the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE’s triple camera configuration. It can record videos in 8K.

The iPhone Air has a single Fusion Camera, which is a 48MP wide camera. Even though it just has one lens, it can adjust to various shooting conditions. An 18MP selfie camera on the front has a novel orientation capability that automatically changes the frame between portrait and landscape mode.

The iPhone Air,

Charging and the Battery

The 4900mAh battery of the Galaxy S25 FE supports reverse charging, 15W wireless charging, and 45W cable charging. The thinner shape of the iPhone Air, however, reduces the battery life. Its 3149mAh battery charges about 50% in 30 minutes and supports 20W wired charging. With charging rates of up to 20W utilizing the MagSafe and Qi2 standards, it excels at wireless charging. Fast charging adapters are sold separately by both businesses.

Cost in India

The top model of the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE costs ₹77,999 (512GB), while the base model costs ₹59,999 (8GB + 128GB). The cost of the iPhone Air is much greater. The 256GB model costs ₹119,900, the 512GB model costs ₹139,900, while the 1TB model costs ₹159,900.
